Project Description

G2C Environnement was consulted by the Ministry of Electricity and Water for an expert evaluation mission of the performance of MEW services. The project included:
- Assessment of the network
- Simplified technical and methodological audit of the Waste Control Unit
- Feasibility study for GSM-based remote network monitoring system
- Benchmarking of different leak detection methods in the local context, including tracer gas

Services Provided

The objectives of this assignment were :
- Technical and methodological audit
- Assessment of current information system
- Definition of pilot area
- Testing GSM loggers
- Testing leak localisation methods on the water network of Bahrain
- Evaluation of future GIS and intended uses

Submitting recommendations of the improvement of the efficiency of waste management and solutions to the specific needs of the waste control section:
- Permanent night flow monitoring using GSM telemetry
- Most suitable leak detection equipment
- Optimizing the use of current equipment
- Specific requirements for future GIS
