Renewal and Extension of "Cereirede" Wastewater Treatment Plant

Project description

Extension of the wastewater treatment plant up to 470,000 equiv-inhabitants capacity (130,000 m³/d - 4 m³/s max.), with following performances: SS: 35 mg/l ; COD: 125 mg/l; BOD5: 25 mg/l.

Main components of the wastewater treatment process:
- Pumping station
- Pretreatment (4 m³/s): grit removal, oil and sand separation
- Storage & regulation basin: 25 000 m³
- Heavy load activated sludge treatment followed by a biofiltration (1,5 m³/s)

Main components of the sludge treatment process:
- Sludge thickening by gravity and by flotation
- Anaerobic thermophilic digestion
- Centrifuge dewatering
- Reuse for agriculture

Air treatment of all odor sources: 3 chemical scrubbers Total amount of works: 101 M€

Services provided

Complete Project Management: feasibility, preliminary design, environmental impact assessment, tender documentation on the basis of a "plant design & build" procedure, analysis of bids, assistance for the preparation of the works contract, works supervision, commissioning, trial tests follow-up.

In addition for the discharge transfer & sea outfall : detailed design, execution drawings and specifications
